Fall Home Tour

Hello and welcome to the RemodelaCasa home tour! I'm as always so very happy to be joining Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and a group of very talented blogging friends to bring you lots of seasonal home decor inspiration, of course, this time it's all about Fall.

For those of you coming from the gorgeous home of  Anita at Far Above Rubies, a huge welcome! I love her home's history and how she has preserved all those wonderful memories and let's don't even talk about the gorgeous hues she uses throughout her house.

My name is Cristina and I live in Maryland with my husband, two kids, and a Yorkshire Terrier named Louie. My love for home decor brought me to the world of DIY projects galore. I'm always working on a project or a few projects around my house.
Talking about projects, my latest was this one, my bedroom makeover. Does it happen to you too? Your bedroom is the last room to get a makeover?

Well, not anymore!
It took me about 10 years to finally have a nice-looking bedroom with a proper bed.
That back wall got a wooden design with a good punch of color that completely transformed this space.

I'm so very happy with this room that I haven't changed a single thing in here. Well, a pink pumpkin on my nightstand is the only Fall element I've added since.
Comforter  |  Curtains  | Faux Fur Blush Pillows  |

Once finished working on my bedroom I had to go and give the other rooms a good clean-up. The perfect excuse to bring seasonal decor to all of them. ;)

My angel was removed from my bedroom at the beginning of the renovation and I asked my daughter to keep it safe in her room. Ha, it's not only safe, but she also loves it and it goes perfectly well with the colors in here.

By the way, my angel, as I call it, is a gorgeous piece of art by my talented friend Deb at DebHrabik Designs - I love it. It represents to me, my mom, my angel. ðŸ’™
Bringing this rug over from the guest bedroom gave this room a totally new look. A rug on top of a carpet is something you should consider, especially if the carpet is looking somewhat tired.

The weather has changed, but the temperatures are still too high to bring the heavy blankets and comforter.
Wooden cornice | Window bench |

For now, a cozy blanket, some seasonal pillows, and cute little pumpkins it's all that is needed. The simple colors of these items remind us of the arrival of Fall.
|  Felt Pumpkins |

In this room I always like to pair up the navy blue color on the wall with burnt orangy color accessories, they make such a striking combination!

More about the girl room makeover right HERE.

The boy's bedroom got a good dose of black accents. The more he grows, the more he sticks with grays and blacks.

This room matches his wardrobe to a T and that's probably why his face lighted up when he saw the changes done to his room.

I went through my old stash of wall art pieces and found this one, the Liberty Milling Co, that I made a couple of years ago. Its size and color couldn't be any better.
Wire Baskets  |  Throw blanket  |  Wall sconce

Given that I was adding so many deep hues, the texture was the way to bring in some coziness. Throw pillows and blankets with lots of texture that will be perfect for the chilly days ahead.

A few fuzzy pumpkins play the cozy part as well.

I didn't even bother making the bed. This is how it usually looks, minus the pillows. ðŸ™„

This is another room that I completely DIY'ed from the floor up. You can find complete details about this teen boy's bedroom right HERE.

Downstairs, on the main floor, I also managed to spruce up my living room for fall, but that's something I'm going to share with you during my next post.

Thank you so much for stopping by! You can visit our gracious host A Stroll Thru Life if you haven't already toured her home.

The tours will continue tomorrow at Duke Manor Farm where my friend Laura might be waiting for you right there on that beautiful front porch, or perhaps in the music room... Well, no matter what or where there at Duke Manor Farm, you're going to enjoy visiting her!

Here is the Fall home tour lineup for the entire week:
