Spring Home Tour

boxwood wreaths on mantel with galvanized plant post and Spring sign

Spring is finally here! At least the calendar says so.

Well, yeah, because last week, we got a bunch of snow, and I have to tell you how disappointed I was. It was a massive setback for the work I'm doing in my backyard.

Yes, you heard it right, I'm already working in my backyard, trying to bring it back in style for none other than the Patio Style Challenge. The reveal is coming soon, I can't wait!  ;)

But hey, today is all about the home's interior, and as usual, I'm over the moon to be a part of this talented group of ladies led by Marty from A Stroll Thru Life.

If you're coming from Doreen at Hymns and Verses or are one of my regulars, welcome! I'm so glad you are here. Make yourself comfortable because this post is loaded with pictures.

In my book, Spring décor is all about new beginnings, cleaning our rooms, and starting the year with a bright, fresh canvas. I think that's the theme for this home tour, Bright and Fresh.

So, let's start at the mantel in the family room, the only area that got dressed for Spring. This is where our family hangs out the most, and whatever decor I add to the mantel is always enjoyed.

The kitchen has stayed the same; I'm still enjoying the bright-colored island

Other than the fresh tulips in the blue mason jars and some drawer organization I did a couple months ago, I've done nothing in here.

Miss. RLC was responsible for juicing those oranges, and she wasn't happy about the pics. :/

So, we better leave the kitchen and move into the home office.

The reveal of this room was done last year, during Christmas.

But, after all the Christmas décor was taken down, I've been using this room as my office. I love it! Even though my supplies, crafts, and papers aren't organized that well yet. I've been more productive having most of my stuff in one space.

I used one of those wide lenses to capture the entire room in one shot. And yeah, that's how it looks when you are at the door coming from the kitchen.

Styling the shelves was challenging; I changed them about five times, and they could be improved some more. :)

I tried to bring the Ikea boxes to the top shelves, but nope, too busy. The styling never ends.

This is a "new to you" view of my home, from the office to the family room, going through the kitchen and breakfast area. It's a long room!

And now that I look at this picture, I'm just glad I can inject new life into those old pieces—the chair, the table, the chandelier—all of which are repurposed projects.

  20. Cristina, I so admire your style and how you continuously incorporate such great changes in your home. I sense a fresh, light and airy feeling with throughout your home. Your use of color punches are perfect throughout. Your son's bedroom is a showstopper, hands down, but I love your latest ceiling and wall trims added. I understand the long space concept - our home is like that. It's always a delight catching up with your projects (like those stumps on the porch - lookin' great, again). Happy Spring.
