Casper - Bed in a Box

boy and father setting up an upholstered platform bed in boy's room

Boy holding a big Casper box on the front door.

As many of you know, I'm running against time trying to finish my son's room!

The building part Is done, Yaaay I'm so glad. :)

As soon as I removed the paper that was protecting the floor and dusted the whole area, my "client" was more than eager to bring in his bed.

We ordered the bed a long time ago. At first, I thought about building the bed myself, but the client didn't want a wooden bed ( I was kind of relieved, I was starting to feel tired after building the closet, installing the floor, and building the shelves).

He didn't want a metal bed (Insert sad face here, I was crossing my fingers for him to like this one HERE).

He wanted a bed with an upholstered headboard, a bed with slats where no spring box was needed.

I know. A picky customer!

For the price, $220 it's a great buy, just buying the material to upholster the headboard would've been more than half the price.
The boys put it together in no time and I have no complaints about it. ;)

I like how the whole bed was packed inside the headboard - One heavy box when we received it.
Of course, the client checked that everything was correct.

Once the bed was installed, we could finally bring the mattress to the room.
The famous Casper mattress. It was one more of the client's requests.

When I began thinking about buying a mattress last September, I was thinking about going to places and trying many different mattresses, but my son had already done the job for me.

He was the one who introduced me to this new way of buying a bed in a box.
He had read many reviews, watched countless videos, and was 100% sure this was the mattress he wanted.

I was a bit skeptical, but he convinced me with the 100-day trial period. If the mattress is not right for you, they will pick it up and give you a full refund.

We placed our order, and the 69-pound box arrived shortly after.

You can watch the following video where the boys are unpacking it:

This is not a sponsored post, I just wanted to share our experience.

The Casper mattress is made of three layers of foam: Latex foam (which provides support, cooling, and bounce), memory foam (which provides support and comfort), and support foam (which props up your body so you don't sink into the bed completely).

Unlike most mattress brands, Casper only has one model, they put all their energy into building one perfect mattress with the right materials to provide a great night's sleep to people of all shapes, sizes, and preferences. Available in the standard six sizes with prices ranging from $500 to $900.
You can get a $50 promotional code online and free standard shipping.

It is designed to work on any firm, flat surface. Almost all of the Casper mattress is handmade in the United States with US components, except the blue border fabric that is produced in Belgium.

It has a 10-year warranty.

Well, I did try it myself and I found out it's a bit too firm for my liking. My son, on the contrary, says this is the perfect mattress for him, he likes how the mattress contours to his body. He's having a blast with his new mattress, new bed, and new room!

Well, the room reveal is almost here, in the meantime you can check the latest in his room makeover:

vintage sconces on side of bookcases, brown , picture frame lights on bookcases

dark planks of plywood, green door, small room, window

brown closet with built-ins and beadboard wallpaper

    1. Thanks Julie! I was so glad I waited to build the right tower until the bed arrived and knew the right dimensions. Imagine building the whole thing only to find out the bed is not fitting in between! :/

  3. These mattresses are now known as memory foam, and feel solid to the touch. It does not feel like it is pushing against your body. You can also get foam mattresses made of latex foam, which has a higher elasticity, and feels springier to the touch.
