Top Ten of 2022

The year is ending, and all I want to say is: Thank You!

I really appreciate the excellent cheerleader that you've always been. Thanks for following the link to visit this, my tiny home on the internet, for dropping me a message, and for sharing my stories. Thank you, thank you very much!

2022 was a take-it-easy year. The thing is that I'd been working non-stop on projects, pictures, blog-related stuff, and everything family and home for more than 10 years. At the end of 2020, I was exhausted after completing work on the garage and mudroom. I wanted to put my feet up and relax.

Oh well, I tried, but I just can't stay still.

Although nothing significant, I worked on a few projects these past two years and posted those stories on the blog. I took a breather, a needed breather by going slow. But guess what? I'm ready to get full speed ahead into big and small projects, builds, crafts, etc. I know 2023 it's going to be a busy year.

However, now that we're at the end of 2022, as usual, I checked my analytics to pick the most popular posts of the year. Those ten posts that made it to the top are the ones that I'm sharing below.

Let's start with the number 10!

NUMBER 10 - FALL TABLESCAPE

Those rich fall colors might be why this post got to the top ten. It was my first time using a black set of dishes, and it's certainly not the last time I used this set. I love it!

You can check complete details about this Fall Tablescape right HERE.

NUMBER 9 - DIY  LARGE CHALKBOARD CALENDAR

My daughter's campaign office was empty, and she reached up to her mama for help furnishing it.

You gotta go check this office transformation right HERE. She was delighted with the outcome.

One project that stood out from the rest was a DIY - Chalkboard Calendar that helped her stay organized and on task.

NUMBER 8 - A VACATION HOME TOUR IN COLOMBIA

This year I took a Summer vacation that brought me to my family in Colombia. I spent a few days in a small town in the middle of the mountain where my sister had her vacation home.

You can take a tour of her beautiful vacation home right HERE.

NUMBER 7 - HOW TO PAINT A GLOSSY BLACK ROOM

Giving a room a glossy black finish is not a small feat!

Lessons were learned and passed on just in case you want to paint one of your rooms black.

NUMBER 6 - DIY  BLACK PEDESTAL BOWL

Do you want a statement piece to decorate your shelves or coffee table?

This easy-to-make pedestal bowl is big, and it's beautiful. Best of all, it can be done for less than 20 bucks.

Complete details on how to create a large pedestal bowl are right HERE.

NUMBER 5 - SUMMER OUTDOOR LIVING

It's a sad sight, the dismay of our backyards after a long winter. The great news is that it's relatively simple to bring our outdoor spaces back to life without breaking the bank.

All the tips on turning this backyard into our Summer retreat are HERE.

NUMBER 4 - BEST KITCHEN ORGANIZATION IDEAS

We have a small kitchen that is very functional, thanks to all those little organizational projects that I've added to it throughout the years.

From drawer dividers to pans and platter cabinets, most of the tools in this kitchen have an organized place where to go.

NUMBER 3 - SPRING HOME TOUR

Giving my home a new look for the coming season is something that I love to do! Better yet, I like to join my blogging friend Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and a bunch of other ladies for our seasonal home tours, where we share and gather inspiration from one another.

Back in Spring,  I gave my living room a brand-new look by installing this pretty peel-and-stick wallpaper. What a difference it made in the space!

NUMBER 2 - DIY RECESSED TOILET PAPER HOLDER

Our powder room was so narrow that there wasn't a paper toilet holder that could fit nicely in the space without us bumping into it.

The solution to that problem was to build a recessed toilet paper holder, a free project given that it was made with wood from the scrap pile.

Take a look at the plans and how to build this recessed toilet paper holder.

NUMBER 1 - POWDER ROOM MAKEOVER

The number one project this year was the makeover of our powder room. Yep. That little shiny black room is looking better than ever.

A planked ceiling, a modern floating vanity, and a stenciled design on the wall were a few of the projects that this bathroom got.

You can take a tour of this powder room right HERE.
