Spring Home Tour 2016

Well, Spring is officially here, and it's time for a Spring home tour. I'm so excited to participate in the home tour series hosted by the sweet Marty from A Stroll Thru Life. If you're coming from Simple Stylings, welcome! I'm partial to Summer's kitchen, the before and after totally blew me away! You definitely don't want to miss out on touring her gorgeous home.

If you are new to Remodelando la Casa let me tell you... That's exactly what I keep on doing... Remodeling my home, well, trying to make it the home we, my family and I, want.

So, let me show you around.

Doormat   |  Planters  |  T.J.Maxx Boots

This past week I was sprucing up the front porch. It all began with the wooden door mat. I love when an easy project makes such a big impact. Now my porch says SPRING.

I was also happy to do some gardening, nothing beats the joy of seeing those little plants grow and get full of leaves and flowers!
Easter Bunny Wreath
A wreath full of the cutest-egg-bunnies-ever adorns the front door. But, let's go inside...

Kitchen Makeover | Pendant Light | Bar Stools | Roman Shade

As in the majority of  homes, my kitchen is the heart of our home. I decided to add lots of green accents, not only in the kitchen but all throughout the house...

Window shade Fabric

And I found out that it's very simple with greenery! The pickle jar got loaded with branches.

Plate Rack | Range Hood |

Little moss balls on the shelves, and some more green from the new fabric on the window shade

Coffee Table | White Chairs | Cushion Covers

On the opposite side, the family room, I kept things simple. I switched the telephone sign from the living room, it was too small for that big wall.

Telephone Sign

My collection of vintage, and not so vintage, clear little bottles serving as vases.

I couldn't omit a garland, this one from Target, with these bunnies was spot on!

Sphere Chandelier | Chippendale Chair | Old Window Gallery

The new lighting fixture sets the tone for Spring in the dining room.

Spring Plates

The decoupaged plates were brought here to the shallow shelves.

Plates

I'm not hosting Easter. I added the necessary things for a casual family dinner.

Berry Basket

The berry basket is now holding decorations than can be moved easily.
Wreath | Leaf Cushion Pillow | T.J.Maxx Rug

The telephone sign was here on this wall, but as you can see, it was replaced by this set of vintage doors. I bought these doors like three years ago, thinking on using them in my bedroom. Ha, ever since I bought them, they've been in the garage collecting dust.
The cleaning of the garage made me bring them indoors. ;)

Headboard | Side Table | Beams

Things in my room are for the most part, the same. It's a room that's not fully finished. I'm still waiting to change the carpet. Some colorful accents gave it new life.
Built-ins | Pillow from Ross

The built-ins are the perfect spot to decorate for the seasons.

I love this room in the mornings when the sunshine's pouring in.

Teen Boy Room Makeover

Finally, my son's room with a simple change. Yeah, it hasn't change much since the big makeover. The only thing done to bring Spring in here was changing the sheets.  Super easy, eh?!

I hope you enjoyed our home tour. Next up is Life Love Larson by Andrea. She has crazy decorating skills, so be sure to hop over!
