Spring Home Tour

Spring is officially here, and it's time for a Spring home tour. I'm so excited to participate in the home tour series hosted by the sweet Marty from A Stroll Thru Life. If you're coming from Simple Stylings, welcome! I'm partial to Summer's kitchen, the before and after totally blew me away! You definitely want to take advantage of touring her gorgeous home.

If you are new to Remodelando la Casa, let me tell you... That's precisely what I keep on doing... Remodeling my home, well, trying to make it the home we, my family and I, want.

So, let me show you around.

This past week I was sprucing up the front porch. It all began with the wooden doormat. I love when an easy project makes such a significant impact. Now my porch says SPRING.

I was also happy to do some gardening. Nothing beats seeing those little plants grow and get full of leaves and flowers!
Easter Bunny Wreath

A wreath full of the cutest-egg-bunnies-ever adorns the front door. But, let's go inside...

As in most homes, my kitchen is the heart of our home. I decided to add lots of green accents in the kitchen and throughout the house...

And I found out that it's straightforward with greenery! The pickle jar got loaded with branches.

On the opposite side, in the family room, I kept things simple. I switched the telephone sign from the living room. It was too small for that big wall.

My collection of vintage and not-so-vintage, clear little bottles serves as vases.

I couldn't omit a garland. This one from Target, with these bunnies, was spot on!

The decoupaged plates were brought here to the shallow shelves.

I'm not hosting Easter. I added the necessary things for a casual family dinner.
Berry Basket |

The berry basket is now holding decorations than can be moved easily.

The telephone sign was on this wall, but as you can see, it was replaced by this set of vintage doors. I bought these doors about three years ago, thinking of using them in my bedroom.

Since I bought them, they've been collecting dust in the garage.
The cleaning of the garage made me bring them indoors. ;)

Things in my room are, for the most part, the same. It's a room that still needs to be fully finished. I'm still waiting to change the carpet. Some colorful accents gave it new life.

The built-in unit is the perfect spot to decorate for the seasons.

Finally, my son's room with a simple change. Yeah, it has mostly stayed the same since the big makeover. The only thing that was done to bring Spring in here was changing the sheets. Super easy, eh?!
