It's Hispanic Heritage Month!

Waterfront - Washington DC

September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic American Heritage Month. A celebration that recognizes the achievements and contributions of the Hispanic community here in America.

For me, it's also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate diversity!

I don't usually post about being a Hispanic or Latina, but common, with that blog name: "Remodelando la Casa" - most people would assume it. :)

The Latina side of me doesn't show much on the home décor and DIY projects that I usually get into. Although, I know it's there. ❤️

I love being a Latina and I usually acknowledge my culture through our delicious food, music, and our language!

Although, I wish I didn't have that strong accent! ;)

Now gals,  I'm so very excited to share with you that today I'm going to be on our local NBC4 Washington news station chatting about my roots and also about what I love to do: Home décor & DIY.

I'll be joining a few other Latinas in design that live here in the greater Washington D.C. area, among them, my friend Stephanie from Casa Watkins Living

News4's Erica Gonzalez segment 4 YOUR HOME  will air around 4 & 5 p.m. EST.

I usually get very nervous and forget all my words. 😕

Oh well, that's why I prefer sticking to my projects.

If you're in the DMV area, it would be awesome if you can tune in.

Later on, I'll add a link right here.

Oh, this interview prompted me to go ahead and update my ABOUT page.

It was about time.

I still had the same boring intro I made 10 years ago when I was afraid to post anything online. 🤦

Remodelando la Casa

The about page is a work in progress, but if you want to know a bit more about me you can check it out right HERE.

I was so glad to have all these pictures taken during Summer when we went around the area with my family and the visitors we had.

I leave you with this group of talented Latinas that I want to celebrate! Please, stop by, say Hi, and follow their work!

Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️
