Christmas In The Bedroom

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by the people you love the most! We had a great day, the four of us visited my SIL and her husband and we all enjoyed a delicious meal.🦃

Fridays are the day that our Home & Decor Encore group gets together to share beautiful inspiration from our archives, but that's not happening today. We skipped this Friday, having in mind that on Black Friday most of you are going to be too busy to stop by. Instead, I thought that sharing my recently decorated Christmas bedroom would be a good inspiration for those of you who could make it here.

Another holiday's over and here we're so ready for Christmas! On our way back home yesterday, the neighborhood was bright and cheery. So many pretty Christmas lights already on!

I was excited to start holiday decorating a few weeks ago. But somehow after bringing up a few boxes from the basement, that happiness turned into an overwhelming feeling with the huge mess I created.  My office and living room are still waiting for some magic to happen there, but the mudroom, family room, and my bedroom, which I'm sharing with you today, are pretty much done. :)

While cleaning my bedroom, inspiration struck thanks to a video on Instagram shared by my friend Ashley @attemptsatdomestication - Well, I loved it so much that I tried to do something similar and this is how it turned out:

I only wish it was that quick and easy! :)

Most of the décor pieces are items I already owned, except for the duvet cover, which I recently bought over at Ikea.

I love all the mood the lights and the dark wall bring to the room.

The star string lights were bought at Target -a dollar spot- about two years ago. Two of them, hanging from a nail in the center and cascading to each side of the bed.

The big star was another Target find from last year, the hardest part was trying to disguise the battery compartment. If you look closely, you can see it there to the left of the star, covered with black tape.

Did you notice that Mr. Dapper maintained great posture even when I jumped on the bed? I thought he was going to fly away!  Nope. Not him. Too elegant to do such non-sense. :D

A cozy throw blanket is always within arms' reach here in the bedroom.

Lights and even more lights! They bring the coziness level up a notch

How's your holiday décor going? After seeing the neighborhood yesterday evening, we are now in a hurry to also add lights to the outside of our house. I gotta see who's willing to string up those lights this year. ;)

Have a great weekend!

  2. The headboard is outstanding! I like the green and the stars. The rain deer is beautiful and so are the white Christmas trees. Very unique.

  3. I love all the little touches and I was eyeing that duvet cover too! But we are doing a kitchen remodel so I had to focus my attention {stem money!} on THAT! I love all the lights!
