A simple coastal table in classic blue and white that reflects those carefree days of summer.

Summer tours are not easy. There are many little details that you need to put in action.
Starting with a good cleaning, switching stuff from one side to another, creating little things...
And perhaps, big things that would make something look much better in certain space...
Wait for a sunny day to take pics, and take lots of them!
And since we take so many pictures, most of them don't fit in the regular home tour post. :/
That was the case with this tablescape. I only included two of these pics in my previous post, so I'm here trying not to let the other images sit in the darkness for ever and ever. :)

Our dining room is small, there's no space for a hutch or a buffet, the only thing that fits in here is the table with the chairs all around it. So, that's what I decorated.
The coastal theme started with the salad plates I found a couple of months ago at Wegmans, I love the anchor and the rope border.
They were paired up with my regular beaded-edge white dishes, and I set them on denim chargers I scored last year at Michaels for around fifty cents a piece.
The blue metallic lanterns were another after season sale at Kohl's last year. I used them on a Thanksgiving tablescape here.
An empty picture frame was filled with driftwood pieces to give more interest and height to the lantern in the center.
The blue glass goblets are from non other than the dollar store. Big star fish, a piece of white rope and home made gingham napkins set the coastal mood.
Somehow the sphere chandelier reminds me of something nautical, I don't exactly know what it is.
Oh, and nothing like good linen for a tablecloth... Well, it's actually a curtain panel I found long ago at a thrift store. ;)

I really like the lanterns in the centerpiece and the way you elevated the center one in the picture frame with the driftwood. The rope around the lanterns look great as well. Of course, the perfectly-themed salad plates and fun napkins add to the table's charm. Would love to dine here!
