Welcome to day four of the 12 Days of Christmas Ornament event! Thanks so much for your kind comments on my previous posts. I'm so glad to hear you've been inspired to create some of the crafts for the upcoming holidays!
I completely forgot to tell you there's going to be a link party on day 12. So, if you've been crafting, you can come and show off your creations on that day!
Day 3 showcases these adorable reindeer ornaments. I got super excited while making them and ended up with a whole herd. :)
The materials you'll need:
- Wine corks
- Brown pipe cleaners (2 - 3" pieces for each)
- Wiggly eyes
- Red pom poms
- Baker's twine (5" for each)
- Pine cone scales
- Hot glue gun
- Awl tool or stick (not pictured)
Using an awl tool or a stick, punch three holes on the top of the cork, as seen in the picture below. Two little lines were also marked for ears placement.
Insert the folded piece of baker's twine, again, use the awl tool to help push it down into the hole. Add a little dab of hot glue to set in in place.
Put a small amount of glue on the holes for the antlers and immediately insert them into the holes.
Hot glue the wiggly eyes, pom pom nose and ears.
Style the antlers the way you like them and enjoy your new little friends.
Hey, I like the way my friend Megan and her daughter HERE styled their reindeer antlers.
