Red, White & Blue for Memorial Day

The unofficial start of Summer is here and some red, white, and blue touches of décor will be added around the house tomorrow.

I love patriotic décor. Those three colors are so striking that I think they look good in almost any setting.

Now, for the most part, I use small holiday décor found at Target, Walmart, or even the Dollar Tree to make pretty vignettes and decorate the backyard. You get to accentuate your rooms for the holidays for very little money and you can store away the decorations when the holiday/season is over, so you can reuse them the following years.

Here are ten very inexpensive ways that I use to decorate for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July:

- Garlands

- Stars

- Paper plates and cups

- Kitchen towels

- Pillow covers

- Flags - Those little flags look nice all-around your home.

- Signs

- A wreath on your front door

- Jars, bottles

- Fabrics, of course in red, white, and blue!

Hmm, I'm thinking of setting a patriotic tablescape too. Crossing my fingers so I can have the time for that.
