Easy Christmas Decor Ideas

Unlike previous years, my Christmas décor went up early this year, and oh, it feels great!
I've been resting and enjoying how warm and cozy my home feels. ;)

However, if you haven't started or are way behind in the décor department, I have some easy ideas that you can incorporate into your home last minute!

These are some of the few ideas I keep on using year after  year:

1. GREENERY

Greenery is perhaps the best décor you can use during the holidays, you can get clippings from your own backyard or you can buy them for very little money. I got these at Trader Joe's and I've been using the stems not only to use as an arrangement, but I keep on grabbing little pieces to decorate presents and vignettes all around the house.

Add a little swag or wreath on the back of chairs.

2. FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

Fruits and vegetables are the décor I prefer in my kitchen. A simple fruit on each plate on a tablescape or a basket of fruits and vegetables on the kitchen island always looks good in my book.

3. HOLIDAY STICKERS OR RIBBONS

Regular, every day objects can look festive with simple stick on or a ribbon added to them.

4. TOYS

Toys can also be an effective and cheery option to decorate your home for the holidays. My kids are not little any more, but their teddy bears keep on stealing the show during Christmas.

Toy trains, little trucks, balls, teddy bears they're all so cute and bring such happy memories!

5. WINTER GEAR

Sleds, skis, ice skates, wagons...
Antique or not, you can dressed them up for the holidays.

And don't stop there, you can also use winter hats, scarves, gloves, mittens to deck the halls.

6. CLEAR GLASS JARS

You can use them in SO many ways. I had fun turning them into beautiful luminaries, so easy!

Here's another simple idea. They're also wonderful to pack yummy goodies for family and friends.

7. SIGNS

Signs are a very affordable way to decorate not only for Christmas, but year round. I love that they don't take much space when stored away and many times you can even DIY them to fit your needs.

8. BALL ORNAMENTS

Ball ornaments not only look good on the tree, scatter a few of them on a shelf, or on the coffee table. Hang a few in front of your kitchen window, or as I like, fill a bowl with them, so pretty and easy!

9. LITTLE CHRISTMAS TREES

Little Christmas trees are instant holiday decor wherever you add them.

10. STRING LIGHTS

Little fairy lights, candles or any type of light bring so much happiness to your home!

These are a few of the economical and easy ideas that I use most of the time! Let me know which one is the one that you use the most!
economical ideas for Christmas decor, toys, table toppers, candles, luminaries,

  4. Beautiful as always. I haven't even shared my Christmas decor this year because so little has changed! Except it rained for 4 days after Thanksgiving so instead of our door lights we did those "rain shower" lazer light things. I feel like a Scrooge! And then, the "bug" hit...3 days with fever, aches, and snuffies! CURSES!!! Fortunately my indoor decorating was done, but not my shopping, exchanging and box hunting...lol! College graduation today and come fever or high water I am hitting the ground running! MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family!!!! Hope you all are healthy next week!

  5. The little bear, on the stool, looks like he's opening the present. Ha! It put a smile on my face this morning. I saved the picture of the old sled and skates. I have a sled and have been on the hunt for a pair of little girl's skates with the fur cuff for years now. I will find them! Lol
    Have a Merry Christmas!
