Some More Great Finds

The weather is so beautiful at this time of year that as soon as the weekend arrives I want to stay outdoors, going on a bike ride, a stroll thru the neighborhood, doing a bit of gardening, the list can go on and on, oh so many things! I really want to go to a farm too, is like a mini tradition for our family, last year it was really fun, you can read about it right here. But, last weekend the way to stay outdoors was by visiting a flea market, as usual lots of stuff to look at, and some of that came home with me :)

Like this beautiful ironstone pitcher, it has a couple of chips on its base but for two bucks, it is a welcome addition to my ironstone collection,  hmmm if only two pieces can be called a "collection", but at least I already started it :)

A chunky shelf.  The corbels were the ones that I kept on thinking were to put them to good use. I love them! I haven't still figure out where, for only $3 the whole shelf can be placed in the garage waiting for the perfect moment to make it shine.

A one dollar picture frame. How I could say no?  It goes pretty well with the two frames I found not long before.

I've been looking high and low for a wooden horse but I've not been lucky :(  At the moment this little elephant would do. $3

However, these next items are the ones I'm the happiest to have found.  Right now I'm in the last steps of my bedroom makeover where I need curtains, bedspread, linens, you name it! If you love quality, it can get expensive.  Four nice pillowcases $2 each.

One king size bed skirt and pillow sham $12.

The best part: Getting quality for a great price, both of them are Restoration Hardware ;)

  1. Great deals! I can't wait to see your bedroom. I've only gotten the chance to go shopping once in the past few weeks, but I found a pair of $168 jeans marked down to $19.95. The thrill still hasn't worn off, lol. This year I'm determined to take my family to a local farm, too. I know they will complain, but love it once they get there!

  26. Love your finds, Cristine :) You had me at 'Ironstone' :) I almost passed up a large pitcher/bowl combo at the thrift a couple years ago b/c of a chip...it was $8 after all. Bought it not even realizing it was ironstone until I got home and did some research...it's American (Federalist USA) - not English, my true passion - and not antique but vintage. But still, it is gorgeous and I'm so glad I bought it....even better, when I got it home, I realized I had the matching creamer and sugar already!! Enjoy your finds.
