Wooden Fall Sign

One very easy project that you can do for any season or occasion is a wooden sign.  The good thing is you can use pieces of wood from your scrap pile.  The perfect piece I found was not wood but MDF, the thicker the better for the letters to stand by themselves.

The materials you'll need:

-Pieces of wood (¾" thick at least), cut at your desire sizes
-Burlap fabric
-Paint (I used acrylic paints)
-Letter stencils
-Spray adhesive
-Sand paper
-Tools: Foam applicator, scissors, miter saw or a hand saw.

Cut the pieces of wood, mine were around 3". Paint them.

Cut the burlap to put on each piece of wood, leaving a small uncovered area all around. Attach it with spray adhesive.

Stencil the letters and finally distress the paint around the burlap using the sand paper.

Your new letter sign is ready for display after that!

My new Fall sign is now adorning my mantel.

It felt so good not having to spend a penny on this project cause all those were items I had at hand.
