Brighten Your Home with a DIY Easter Egg Tree
Last weekend, I finally checked a long-awaited project off my bucket list: my very first DIY Easter Egg Tree. I've wanted to tackle this for a long time, and I'm so excited to show you how a few simple materials can create a stunning, festive centerpiece for your home.
Whether you're looking for a budget-friendly craft or a sophisticated holiday focal point, this guide will walk you through the process step-by-step.
Local crews are still trimming trees in my area, and while the piles of branches are tempting, I've officially reached my "tree branch project" limit for the season!
If you're making your own, look for sturdy, multi-pronged branches like willow, cherry, or even dried birch.
Pro Tip: Using candy as a vase filler looks amazing, but it can get pricey! While it cost a bit more than I anticipated, the bright layers are worth it—plus, we’ll definitely be "recycling" those Jelly Beans as snacks later on. ;)
- Jelly Beans ( Green - Lime - Blue - Yellow - White )
- Pedestal glass container 10" H
- Inner glass container 6" H
- Floral Foam
- Easter Eggs
- Tree Branches
1. The Containers: I started with a large glass hurricane and found a smaller glass cylinder to fit inside it. The goal is to have a small gap between the two for your filler.
The Final Result
Once the base was set, the best part began: hanging the ornaments! I chose a mix of pastel eggs to keep it classic. It's a simple, meditative process that instantly transforms a few bare sticks into a work of art.
Want to see it in action?

Happy crafting, and have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteI use to make Easter egg trees as a child. I used an old flower pot and plaster to set spray panted branches in. Then came the fun of blowing out the eggs and decorating them.
ReplyDeleteso pretty perfect for spring!

ReplyDeleteI love Easater egg trees -- I like what you did with the jelly beans -- I put mine in an old ginger jar but the jelly beans give nice color!
