Flea Market Time - September

Woohoo, September arrived and a whole week has already passed by! In no time we're going to be celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas :/  Time is flying away!

This past weekend we had the first Saturday of the month, so, as usual I went to the flea market. It was a very hot day. Well, it was my bad that I arrived at closing time, middle of the day, many of the vendors were already packing up. I went all around very quickly and these were the items that caught my eye.

Not too many, I know, but I'm liking them all!

This whole set of milk glass footed cups was my last find of the day. There were many more milk glass items on the table but somehow this set of 10 cups was what I was drawn to.

I could pictured them on the hutch, filling up empty spots. The price for the whole set: $4.

I love these blue color plates and the designs on them.
blue plates

I don't think they're the real deal. Can you see the painting mismatch on the above picture right lower corner?
Blue and white plates made in England

They are supposed to be "Tonquin" Royal Staffordshire by Clarice Cliff and made in England. I think they're a cheap reproduction.

However I bought them, as I said I like them. 7 plates ---> $10.

wooden accordion wine rack

I also found a wooden accordion wine rack.

Holar handcrafted in Japan accordion wine rack

I'm liking accordion racks, remember the last one I found in one of the pasts flea markets? This one was also one dollar.

And you can see, I'm already having fun with all this stuff. :)

green cups

Last but not least, these green what? Planters? Cups? Love their color! Again, I can see them on my vignettes around the house. The price for the four: $1.50

Now, in order to make these "Flea Market Time" posts more exciting for you guys, I'm giving away one of the items I found. This time I will give the winner the option to choose between the accordion wine rack OR five of the milk glass footed cups.

What would you choose? Five easy ways to enter, good luck!

  5. Those plates are the real deal....great find.......its transferware, the design is transfered on a sheet and sometimes the design slips a little and you can tell where it began and ended. They are not hand painted, these are very nice!!!
