Angels Watching Over Us - Christmas Mantel

three little angels wall art - Christmas mantel - fireplace - white
Hi friends,

Angels watching over us is how I decided to name my mantel this year. I was in the midst of my Holiday decorating last year when I heard the terrible news about what happened at
Sandy Hook Elementary School, this mantel was born in my mind at that time, is my little tribute to those angels, but it is also a tribute to all the angels watching over us.
white stockings, angels and more angels, fireplace, wall art

The wall art was a simple Mod-Podge work, the image of the three little angels was taken from a Hallmark greeting card one of our friends sent us long time ago, it was blown up like 130 times for this project. I've displayed the little card all around our home, I think the three little angels are so cute :)

White and gold were my colors of choice, so I set to work on twenty angels. Two wooden angels on each extreme, the six on the garland were old ornaments I just spray painted.

Paper cone angels  were also created.

Remember my thrifty angels, well they got a new dress ;)

The white stockings came here to this mantel where they were meant to be.  And yes, the set of stocking holders is missing an E, if you follow me you already know that story, if not, you can read about it HERE.  The saga to find that missing letter is still going on.  (Hey Mindi, you were right they were the same stocking holders ;)

Some more angels were placed on the floor, you can find a tutorial on how to make them right HERE.

A pile of stacked books serves as a table  hmmm it looks more like a Christmas tree ;)  The star was one of the projects I brought to the Hometalk TV - Segment, but it is an idea I got from my friend Dria.

Remember, you too have Angels Watching Over You!

  19. Your mantel is absolutely beautiful. Just found and joined your blog this morning. Any chance you will consider making your angel Christmas card into a download? I am certain there are many of us who would love to be able to use that image in our own way as a tribute to all those babies. God bless. Pat.
