Tool Review: Milwaukee Chainsaw

This post is sponsored by The Home Depot.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that one day I would be using a chainsaw. Ha, all I can say is, it was  a lot of fun and easier to use than what I thought!
Last weekend I had a blast using the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 16 in. Chainsaw. A cordless, brushless and powerful tool that went through this tree trunk like butter!

Here's a little video
where you can see it in action:

Just the same way as I've been scared about using a table saw, I was a bit hesitant about using this Milwaukee chainsaw. I asked my BIL, a pro in this type of business, to give me a helping hand with it.
First thing, we filled its empty oil tank.

And we let it run for a minute or so, until the chain got oiled. You can see little oil drips while running it.
Oil and a full battery pack was all the prep work! All ready for lots of cuts.
My BIL did the honors doing a couple cuts.
But hey, I couldn't wait too long! :D  I already had a project in my mind. ;)  Notice the thin slices I was cutting.

Haha that's a happy face while carrying the precious load!!
And here, you can see how I used the tree slices for a rustic centerpiece on my table.

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL Chainsaw is definitely the tool a landowner or landscaping company want to have to tackle a great variety of landscaping tasks. Cutting small or large trees without the hassle of a cord or dealing with gasoline is a big plus. The automatic chain oil is also a great feature.

Needless to say, this is also a great tool for the regular DIYer or rustic art entrepreneur.
