Makita Sub-Compact Brushless Cordless Impact Driver Kit

This post is sponsored by The Home Depot.

Hey there!

I'm back with this THDProspective tool review for the Makita Sub-Compact Brushless Cordless Impact Driver.
The thing is, I don't usually like to do tool reviews where I go thru all the features of a tool... weight, speed, torque, battery life, etc. Nope. I think most of my readers don't really pay much attention to all those features. Please, let me know if I'm wrong. ;)
What I like to do is put the tools to the test while working on a project. then, I highlight the feature I like the most. That's one of the things I've loved about working with Home Depot for these tool reviews. They allow us, all the participants, to work in the way that works best for each of us and we got to tell our own opinions about the tools.

Now, for this Makita impact driver I decided to write a review because it really made an impression on me since
the moment I took it out of the box. And I believe most of you, my dear readers, would love to have this type of impact driver in your life!

This is a kit conformed of a compact impact driver, a 2.0Ah battery, charger and a bag.

The first thing I noticed is how small this drill is, it fits so perfectly in my small hand!
And yep. it's very light-weighted at only 2.6 lbs. with battery, which means my hand doesn't get tired that fast.

The compact and ergonomic design makes it ideal for working in tight spaces. Dual LED lights illuminate the work area.
Changing the bits is easily done by simple pulling the chuck forward to release the bit.
Another great feature is the Assist Mode (A-mode), which helps eliminate "screw cam-out" and "cross threading" by driving at low speed until tightening begins, great for longer fasteners.
Close to the A-mode are two lights with S - H letters above them. S is for Soft, H is for Hard.  S mode is ideal for working with small fasteners, soft materials.  When the driver gets to H mode both lights turn on.
Size and weight were the two first features I liked the most about this Makita Impact Driver, but as soon as I started using it I discovered how powerful it is. The brushless motor delivers 1,240 lbs. of max torque.
The batteries have a fuel gauge for you to check the charge level, which I think is neat, you can check how much life is left at any given time.

Well, there you have it! If you're in the market for an impact driver, this Makita is a tool you should consider... Great ergonomics, compact size, light weight and powerful!
Having it in a kit with battery, charger and carrying case makes it even better. :)

It is a wonderful bang for the buck deal. And don't you love its classic black color! ðŸ–¤
