Eclectic Chilean Home Tour - Decora Y Adora

Hi friends,

One of the marvelous things in today's world is how easily we can connect with people from all around the globe. This blogging trip of mine has allowed me to create blogging friendships with amazing people from countries like Canada, Mexico, Spain, India, and, as in this case, Chile.

Today, I want to celebrate all the beautiful work that my friend Angélica has put into her home, all the work she chronicles in her blog: Decora y Adora.

Angélica lives in Santiago de Chile with her husband and five kids in a 500 square meters (5,381 square feet) modern brick house, where she has brought style and function by mixing old and new, decorating with beloved travel treasures, and adding lots of DIY projects to the mix.

The home is surrounded by green areas that Angélica has kept pristine.

But, let's go inside...

The foyer is that starting point where you begin to appreciate the gorgeous wood and artwork that's carried throughout the house.

The Living room opens up with its delicate white palette that lets the ceiling with the striking wooden beams take center stage.

A wall of cubbies holds the many treasures the family has collected during international trips.

Delicate elegance is brought to the dining room with a big leaf wallpapered wall.

The Kitchen has ample space to accommodate the whole family nicely.

The contiguous breakfast room is where the family enjoys their everyday meals. A painted chalkboard wall creates the perfect canvas to decorate for the seasons, write the dinner menu, or where the kids can let their imaginations go.

The laundry room sports the same materials seen in the kitchen, its clean lines, and easy-to-take care of elements.

Each and every room in this home is bright and inviting. The master bedroom is no exception with a big wall of glass that opens up to enjoy the backyard.

Hand-crafted Chilean rugs are the elements that bring warmth to many of the rooms.

The kids' rooms are full of life and creativity. This teenage bedroom showcases many of the talents Angélica has. From making the cute heart garland on the dresser to the stencil for the polka dots on the wall to the bed's upholstered headboard, she does it all!

Another girl's bedroom is full of charm and DIYs. :)

The boys share an elegant man-ly space...

And they have their very own work zone.

One more of the girl's room with such a gorgeous view.

The library, not far from the master bedroom, is the man cave.  A Nordic style was given to this room.

Built-ins

A space to relax and unwind while enjoying a T.V. show or reading a good book.

The kids have their own space too. The playroom, the area to hang out, play video games...

Or show off their talents throughout the music.

The transformation of her studio was one of Angélica's latest projects and boy oh boy, I'm loving it!

She gave herself a beautiful storage space for her supplies.

But, not only that, it's her space to create, sew, do paperwork, and lots more, it's her craft room.

The home also has a big gym that Angélica brightened up by painting the brick wall white.

You step out to find a beautiful outdoor space...

Where the family gathers to enjoy their Summers with a game...

bbq or family meal...

While enjoying the swimming pool!

All I have to say is Wow, what a gorgeous home!
I hope you have enjoyed the tour.
