Top 10 Projects of 2014

It's time to look back at the wonderful year we've had. There's really no big surprise on the projects with the most views this year.

They're all projects I loved to work on and many of them I'm still enjoying around my house.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support by visiting, commenting, pinning, and sharing my work.

Big thanks and lots of love!

These are RLC's Top 10 projects of 2014.

10. DIY - How to repurpose an old playset into a potting bench

The potting bench is my second favorite project of the year. The play set that my kids used for so many years broke and it was transformed into a handy potting bench.

9. Painted table set with driftwood finished top.

Painting this table set was a project done not long ago. I'm still smitten by how good the whole set (table and chairs), looks.

I see this is one project many of you would want to tackle soon. ;)

8. Fabric Painted Chairs

Most of us have old chairs that need an upholstery job, but I know that's not easy.

I also went the easy route with these chairs, instead of upholstering them, the fabric was painted.

I know, scary!

But guess what? I love how they look!

Check the full post with my thoughts about painting fabric-painted furniture right HERE.

7. DIY - Industrial side table

A wine wooden box and some pieces from an old garage door gave life to this industrial side table.

A favorite to many of you!

6. Guest bedroom makeover

One of the biggest projects of the year, the guest bedroom, was a makeover that included lots of DIYs.

From painting the subfloor to making the mirror and building the daybed, it was a makeover on a budget, using what I had on hand and re-purposing many items.

5. Fall decor - DIY Signs - Free graphics

Another art project that got lots of views.

These Fall signs were done on the remnant sides of a drawer.

You can grab the free graphics and make your very own signs on any piece of wood.

4. Red, White, and Blue living room

The window art done for this project was so easy and gave so much interest to this room!

It's probably my favorite project of the year.

Take a look at how easily you can complete this patriotic project right HERE.

3. Old hutch makeover

The old brown hutch that I got for free over Craiglist was completely transformed.

What a dramatic change!

I loved it and I enjoyed the extra storage space I gained with it, but I didn't like that it was a bit too short for my 9-foot ceilings, so this past November it sold. I'm going to build something in its place.

2. Painted Kitchen Stools - Free graphics

These stools are one of the items that get tons of use around our home. If we need something to step on, or perhaps a little table or extra sitting... that's what we used.

The painted graphics that I gave them are still holding strong. ;)

If you happen to have a set of plain stools, you can grab these graphics and give them an easy makeover.

Once again, a post about something done to the kitchen has been the one with the most views this year.

This was more like a guide on how to measure and install the shelves; that was the main reason why I didn't tackle this project sooner.

Having everything organized and within reach at any moment is priceless and hey, no more can goods with due dates that expired years ago!

Well, those were the top ten, but I was a bit surprised to see the top 11th. I was not expecting to see one of the 12 Days of Christmas Ornaments there, besides, this wasn't one of my favorite ornaments, but hey, it almost made it to the top ten. ;)

The Spiral Christmas tree ornament was a favorite of you all!
