Furniture Shopping at a HGTV Home - 1

I went furniture shopping with my Sister-in-law and I really enjoyed the trip! Isn't that the best way to shop?! Looking for something to buy, getting ideas, browsing thru lots of stuff you love, buying what you need and not spending a penny.  Yeah, it was awesome!

My Sil was looking for a sectional for her basement, she had already done her homework, we visited like four places where she had seen sectionals she loved, but now it was the time to decide which one was the one to bring home.

At our third stop in Frederick, MD, what got my interest besides the old barn, was to see the small signs that said HGTV Home on each side of the old house.

I couldn't help it, I began taking pictures, it all looked so pretty! It was like the cow in the picture above greeted us right there once we crossed the main entrance door.  :) Well, not only the cow, all the ladies working there were really nice. ;)

Oh, I have to apologize for the bad quality of the pictures, they were all taken with my cell phone and it was a cloudy day. :/  This was the sectional she'd already seen. I loved it!

Even though we liked it so much, after some consideration, we determined it was too small for her space, and we went looking around the house for some more options.

I kept on taking pictures. ;)  This dressers were very interesting, they had them in many colors.

After a close check up, it looked like they were all covered with that plastic woven material the rice bags are made out of. Really! a new trend? I might like to give it a try. It would be like decoupaging those plastic bags onto furniture pieces.

Here in blue, and yeah, after looking at those prices, that's why I want to try that technique. ;)

Art pieces that I thought kind of easy to replicate.

The foyer hosted this colorful arrangement. Love the skinny table.

In the living room I love the carpet.

And once again, art that I thought would be easy to copy cat.

How about this dalmatian loosing his spots. :)  So cute!

I broke this tour in three parts, too many pictures for only one post.

  5. Love that cow! The chairs in front of the cow are awesome, too. Another favorite from your pictures is the hounds-tooth rug. Love it! Thanks for the shopping trip without leaving my chair! :-)
