The Great Outdoors

This is the final part of an amazing New Hampshire home my family and I visited. This last part is all about the outdoor areas, and what better place to start than by the lake.

Lets say that Pleasant lake is the "entrance" to the property.  Pass the gate and go up the mountain for about a mile.

The house will stop you.

You can go inside, full tour right HERE.

You can also visit the guess cottage, full tour right HERE.

This time we're skipping the front door and heading to the other side of the house.

Let's follow the stepping stone pathway that takes us to the gazebo.

The view is art when you're in here.  Notice the garlic hanging in there :)   It's part of their harvest.

The gazebo is the place to have small gatherings or perhaps to take a really good nap on the day bed.

It is also a good spot to have lunch.  The dinette set with branches and little birds is so cute.

From here you can see the "circular garden",  most of the vegetables consumed in the house come fresh from the garden.

Turning to the right we can spot another garden I'll just call it the "square garden", zucchini and many varieties of squash are harvested here.  You can also see the compost bin next to it.

Going a little further north to the back of the house, you reach the cedar hot-tub.

After a long day, nothing like a hot bath to make you feel relaxed and rejuvenated.

But let's continue, from this side of the house.

Going through the back,

Until we reach the Zen garden.

The owners place for meditation, yoga and spirituality.

The sound of moving water from the lake waterfall adds to the soothing atmosphere.

But if you're not ready for a nap at the gazebo, or a hot bath, or neither a meditation moment, we must go hiking on one of the many private trails the property has.

This particular trail was one of our favorites, there is a picnic table right in the middle of it all, but alas no lunch today, we simply posed for a quick picture, and...

Continued up the mountain...

Until we reached the summit.

Gorgeous finds along the way.

The afternoon can be spent at the lake.

Taking a simple ride on the boat.

Kayaking.

Or having fun in the water.

Back at the house the day is winding down.

Let's close it up with a delicious dinner ;)

There are flowers in pretty planters all around the house, I want to leave you with some that got my eye.

I hope you have enjoyed the tour.
