Ho Ho Ho Wall Art

This is one of those easy projects I was working on during the week, trying to find inexpensive items to decorate my house for the holidays.

I have this big wall space in the family room, that for a long time has had the same art, three canvasses I painted and then hung them to fill in that space (they didn't even fill that big space quite well!), but for the holidays I wanted something more "Christmas-ish" there.

I found three more prints at the thrift store to add to the ones already on the wall, that would make them fit properly.  I like the designs, those orange and red tones, but they don't go that well with my Christmas decorations.

So they got dressed up!  Using fabric remnants, they got covered, at first using simple pieces of tape on the back of them, to keep the fabric in place, then using a regular stapler (the one you use to staple pieces of paper), worked great too.  I was trying not to damage the prints in case I want to use them again.

That blue fabric is what was left from the circles pillow I made for my daughter's room.

I knew I wanted it to have a Christmas related word displayed on that wall, something like Noel, Joy or Peace, but after I found out I had to come up with a six letter word I couldn't find it!  So... Time to ask the experts, my kids!   Sure enough, my daughter came up immediately with the Ho Ho Ho!

The letters were cut out from felt material, and I liked that they were pretty easy letter shapes.  The other fun thing is that I didn't have to glue them on.  The felt on top of the other fabrics stays put!

Now, you have to help me on this one:  What six letter word should I display after the holidays? Because those boards are going to stay right there for more than one month!
