I don't have many Christmas decorations, that's why, while decorating the mantel for Christmas, I had to work with whatever I had on hand and make extras to fill empty spaces.
These sweater Christmas tree cones were an easy, ten minute project that was accomplished with supplies from around the house.
An old, chunky sweater, file folders (the only kind of cardboard I could find, they aren't that strong, but since they were going to be covered with the sweater fabric, they worked well), and hot glue.
No pattern, no dimensions! As soon as the cone was formed, it was hot glued in place. Then it was wrapped up with the sweater, hot gluing it all around, trimming the excess and again hot gluing the seams.
The bottom ends are simply folded and glued inside the cone
Very simple! I spend more time looking for the cardboard paper than making them!
If you want to pump them up a little bit, I'm leaving you with 20 fabulous ideas that can be incorporated in your own decor.
Go check them out, most of them have great tutorials and PLEASE pin from their sites.
